Brief
A short summary of where your conversations stand — today's meetings, what's waiting on you, what you said you'd do — on the Home page, or every morning.

What's in it
Veda writes the brief from what it remembers (see Memory) and, when a calendar is connected, your meetings:
- Today — your meetings, with who's in them, and anything worth a look in the next few days: double bookings, back-to-back runs, meetings with no agenda, and invites you haven't answered.
- Waiting on you — conversations you're part of where the other person spoke last in the past three days. Channels you only scrolled past don't count, and automated notices (a card created, a build passed) are left out.
- You said you'd — things you promised in the past week, with the time you gave, as you wrote it. Veda doesn't judge whether something is late.
- Also happening — other conversations active in the last day.
Each line cites its source; the chips underneath open what Veda read.
When
Brief me on the Home page makes one now. The Brief card shows when memory is on.
To get one on its own, use the menu on the brief card on Home and pick Every morning or Monday mornings (it's When I ask until you change it). Veda then makes one at or after 9 am and tells you with a notification. This sends your recent messages to the AI without a key press, which is why it's off by default.
Privacy
The matching messages and meetings go to the AI once, to write the brief; nothing is stored by the AI. The brief itself is kept in the encrypted vault on your computer. Each brief counts as one AI request.
