Licence keys

Every purchase — Veda Pro or a Veda Licence — comes with a licence key. Here's where to find it and how to activate it.

Where to find your key

Right after checkout, the thank-you page shows your key with a Copy key button — it can take a few seconds to appear. We also email it to the address you paid with, from nitin.rai@getveda.app — check your spam folder if it isn't in your inbox. Your receipt comes separately from Paddle, our merchant of record.

Keys look like VEDA-7K2Q-M9XD-4TRB-H3FA. Capitals, spaces and dashes don't matter when you paste one.

The same kind of key is used for both Veda Pro and a Veda Licence; Veda works out which plan it's for.

Activate it

  1. Open Veda's window from the menu bar or tray: Settings…
  2. Go to Plan.
  3. Under Already bought one?, paste the key.
  4. Click Activate.

Settings → Plan then shows your plan, the email you paid with and the last few characters of the key (for example "key …7F3A").

Removing it from a computer

A key works on up to 3 computers at a time. On a paid plan, Settings → Plan has Remove from this Mac (or Remove from this PC). That frees the key's slot so you can use it on another computer, and signs this one out.

Activating the same key again on the same computer reuses its existing slot — it doesn't use up another one.

Common messages

That licence key wasn't found.Check it was copied in full — it starts with VEDA- and has four groups of four characters.
That licence key is no longer active.The purchase was refunded, or the subscription was cancelled, paused or has ended. See Manage your subscription.
That licence key is already active on as many devices as it allows.It's active on 3 computers already. Remove it from one of them first (Settings → Plan → Remove from this Mac/PC), then activate here.
