App-aware writing
A chat reply, an email, a doc and a ticket comment are different kinds of writing. Veda notices where you are and writes the way that place expects.

Every time you tap the key, Veda looks at which app you're in — and, in a browser, which site the tab is showing — and adds a short guide for that kind of writing.
The four kinds of place

Anywhere else, Veda matches the style of the text around it.
In email, docs and trackers the basics are always standard — capital letters, full stops, complete sentences — even if you type in lowercase in chat. Your vocabulary and warmth stay; proper doesn't mean stiff.
Browser tabs
Gmail, Jira and Notion in Chrome all report themselves as "Google Chrome". So Veda also reads the window's title: a Gmail tab writes like email, a Jira tab like a ticket, a Notion tab like a doc. This works in any browser.
Tone
On top of the place, Veda picks a tone by reading the conversation: casual with teammates who are bantering, friendly-professional for normal work talk, and professional for clients, management or anything public. It never gets more formal than the people in the thread.
When Veda is rewriting your text, it keeps your tone — it only fixes the writing — unless you ask for a different tone in Edit mode.
You can switch tone-picking off with Pick the tone automatically in Settings → Rewrite or Settings → Writing style. The place-specific guides still apply.
