What Veda is

Veda is a writing assistant for macOS and Windows. It rewrites text, drafts replies and turns speech into text using AI models — ours on the free trial and on Veda Pro, or your own AI provider with a Veda Licence.

Your licence to use Veda

• We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Veda for as long as your plan is active (or, for a Veda Licence, for good).
• A licence key can be active on a limited number of computers at once (3 unless stated otherwise). You can move it by removing it from one computer and activating it on another.
• Don’t share, sell or publish your licence key, and don’t try to get around the plan limits, the trial or the licence checks.
• Veda’s software, name and design stay ours. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer or redistribute the app, except where the law says you may.

Plans and payment

• The free trial lasts 7 days (or 150 rewrites, whichever comes first), one per computer.
• Veda Pro is a subscription billed monthly or yearly, with a monthly allowance of rewrites. It renews automatically until you cancel.
• A Veda Licence is a one-time payment and uses your own AI provider key; the provider’s own terms and charges apply to that use.
• Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payments, taxes, invoices and receipts are handled by Paddle under Paddle’s buyer terms.
• Prices are shown on our pricing section and at checkout, where tax is added for your country. If we change the price of Veda Pro, we’ll tell you before it applies to your next renewal.
• Refunds follow our refund policy.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Veda to:

• break the law, or infringe anyone else’s rights;
• harass, threaten, defraud, or impersonate people, or create spam or malware;
• overload, probe or attack our servers, or use the hosted AI through anything other than the Veda app;
• generate content that the AI providers we use prohibit.

We may limit or suspend hosted AI for accounts that do.

AI output

Veda’s suggestions are written by AI models and can be wrong, incomplete or inappropriate. You decide what to send — read results before you use them, especially for anything important, legal, medical or financial. You own the text you write and the results Veda gives you, as far as the law allows. See our privacy policy for how your text is handled.

Availability

We work hard to keep Veda and its hosted AI running, but we can’t promise it will always be available, fast or free of errors. The hosted AI depends on third-party providers, and features may change as Veda improves.

Ending your use

You can stop using Veda at any time: cancel your subscription and remove the app. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms; if we end a paid plan without a good reason, we’ll refund the unused part.

Liability

Veda is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; if a change matters, we’ll say so on this page and, for paying customers, by email before it applies. These terms are governed by the laws of the country where the Veda team is registered, without affecting the mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in.
