Veda for Slack

write Slack messages in your own voice

Type the rough version, tap one key, and the message reads well and sounds like you. Replies are drafted from the thread you're in. Bold, code and lists stay as they were.

Reads the thread, not just your text

In a channel, DM or thread, Veda reads the messages above your composer, works out who you're answering, and drafts a reply that answers the last message without recapping.

Chat tone, not email tone

Veda knows it's Slack. Casual with teammates, friendly-professional for work talk, never stiffer than the people in the thread.

Formatting survives

Bold, italics, code and bullet lists in your draft come back as bold, italics, code and bullets, not as asterisks or boxes. Slack's desktop app and Slack in the browser both work.

Hold for the Edit bar

Shorten, friendly, formal, fix grammar, clearer, or type an instruction like "make it a two-line update". Preview, then use it.

Dictate a reply

Double-tap, talk, tap once. Filler goes, your final wording stays, and spoken "new line" becomes a new line.

How to use Veda in Slack

  1. Install Veda and allow Accessibility.
  2. In any Slack composer, type a rough message and tap right Option (Mac) or right Ctrl (Windows).
  3. Or leave the composer empty and tap the key to draft a reply to the thread.
